Service Description

This epilepsy awareness training course is aimed at those working with or responsible for the wellbeing and welfare of individuals living with epilepsy. This course aims to give an understanding of the causes, triggers and management of a seizure. The course will also explain seizure first aid. This course is vital for any members of care staff working with or responsible for people living with epilepsy. Course Learning Outcomes: • Definition of & facts about epilepsy • Classification and management of seizures • When to call an ambulance • Triggers and precipitants • Observing and recording • Epilepsy and mortality • Anti-epileptic drugs • Care planning and recording • Risk assessment/promotion of safety • Ethical and legal responsibilities Online Courses Available: 9:30am - 3:00pm Monday 14th June 2021 Price £45 + VAT per participant
